The goal in Beat the Streak is to break baseball's toughest record: Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak. Pick a player (or two) every day who you think will get a hit. Get a hit (or hits) and your streak continues. If not, you can start a new streak. Be the first to reach 57 straight hits and win $5.6 million.

Need a hand? Our beat reporters compete in their own league (just for fun, of course -- they're not legally eligible to beat you to the $5.6 million). They only pick players from the teams they cover, and we publish their picks daily. If their team is off, they won't make a pick and their streak will remain idle.
