Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos, serving as Aragua's designated hitter, smacked a two-run home run to help build a 7-3 lead through seven innings. Caribes scored three in the eighth, but Hector Gimenez's solo shot in the ninth got Aragua an insurance run, and Dakota Watts nailed down the save. Oscar Salazar homered for Caribes. Box score

La Guaira 10, Caracas 4
La Guaira plated seven runs in the fourth inning to jump ahead, 9-1, thanks to Rene Reyes' two-run homer and Cesar Suarez's grand slam. Alex Cabrera added two solo shots, while C.J. Retherford chipped in three hits. The D-backs' Gerardo Parra went 2-for-5 with a triple and a solo homer for Caracas. Box score

Magallanes 7, Zulia 4
Trailing 4-3, Magallanes put together a three-run eighth to take the lead, scoring on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch, a wild pitch and a fielder's choice. Juan Rivera had three hits, including a two-run homer, for Magallanes. The top three hitters in Zulia's lineup -- Ender Inciarte, Freddy Galvis and Jose Pirela -- combined for seven walks. Box score

Luis Jimenez hit a game-tying solo homer to start the fourth for Lara, the start of a four-run burst in the opener of a doubleheader. Jimenez finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while the Mariners' Erasmo Ramirez held Margarita to one run on three hits over five innings for the win. Mets No. 4 prospect Wilmer Flores went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Margarita. Box score

Licey 4, Gigantes 3
With one out in the ninth inning, Ruben Sosa scored on a wild pitch by Willy Paredes to give Licey the walk-off win. Licey also got a two-run double from Victor Diaz and a solid 5 1/3 innings from starter Yunesky Maya. Wilson Betemit went 2-for-2 with a triple and a walk for Gigantes. Box score

Aguilas 6, Toros 5
Danilo Sanchez's sacrifice fly gave the Toros a one-run lead in the top of the ninth inning. But when Aguilas came to bat, Mike Bianucci and Francisco Pena smacked back-to-back solo homers with one out off Jose Valdez to earn the walk-off victory for Aguilas. Bianucci also hit a solo shot in the third, and teammate Rafael Ynoa added a two-run blast in the seventh. Ricardo Nanita and Pedro Feliz both notched two hits for the Toros. Box score

Escogido 5, Estrellas 1
Escogido scored all of its runs in the first three innings to support Edward Valdez, who held Estrellas to one run over 7 2/3 frames. Wilkin Castillo struck the big blow with a two-run homer, Jorge Polanco went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Pirates No. 2 prospect Gregory Polanco had a triple. Andy Gonzalez's RBI double in the seventh brought home the go-ahead run for Caguas. Gonzalez finished with two hits and two RBIs, Edgardo Baez doubled twice, and Saul Rivera nailed down the save with a scoreless inning. A seven-run second inning blew the game open early for Mayaguez, with Kennys Vargas striking the big blow with a three-run homer. Randy Ruiz added three hits, while Vargas, Irving Falu and Nationals No. 4 prospect Michael Taylor all had two. Juan Centeno hit a solo homer for Carolina. Box score

Los Mochis 8, Mazatlan 0
Jonathan Castellanos tossed five innings of two-hit ball, and four relievers finished off the shutout. Los Mochis scored three in the third to take the lead. Jake Fox led the charge with a grand slam and five RBIs, while Gilberto Mejia notched three hits. Box score

Hermosillo 3, Guasave 2
Leadoff man Jerry Owens went 4-for-5 to lead a 12-hit Hermosillo attack slowed by 12 runners left on base. Jose Aguilar also went 2-for-2 with a walk, a double and an RBI, and Jason Urquidez pitched the ninth for the save. Zelous Wheeler led Guasave with three hits, including a double. Box score

Obregon 6, Culiacan 1
Barbaro Canizares went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs to spur the Obregon offense, which racked up 14 hits. Dan Robertson added three and drove in a run, while Culiacan's Maxwell Leon hit a solo homer. Obregon starter Oscar Rivera struck out seven over four innings, and the bullpen followed with five scoreless frames. Box score

Mexicali 5, Navojoa 3 (11 innings)
Ben Guez's two-run single in the top of the 11th brought home the go-ahead runs for Mexicali, and in the bottom of the frame. Francisco Gil came on and struck out Yurendell de Caster with a runner aboard to end it. Chris Roberson had three hits for Mexicali, and Guez added a solo homer. Abel Martinez had a solo shot for Navojoa. Box score
