Where In The World Is Jesse Litsch...Oh, Canada

Days off are a precious commodity to say the least. For the Major League Baseball player, they are extremely rare from the Spring straight through the Autumn months. The season (not to be too cliché) is a grind, so it's important to enjoy your free time when you get it.

Some of the big leaguers that have made their way to the MLB Fan Cave have told us they like to get their R&R going to movies, taking in a round of golf, fishing or just getting a nice, long nap. But for Blue Jays reliever Jesse Litsch, he looks for his off-field amusement at…well, amusement parks. And why not? I'm not a roller coaster guy per say, but I will listen to the young lady wearing the safari attire, who tells me to watch my head and step when I disembark The Jungle Boat Cruise ride.

Recently, Litsch headed out to Canada's Wonderland Park for a day of fun and funnel cakes. While the Jays hurler was there, he tweeted out to fans that the first pair to find him and give him the correct year of his Major League debut would receive two tickets to the Blue Jays game the following night.

I gotta hand it to the Toronto fans who found him among the thousands of visitors and over 330 acres of fun and screaming children. They really had to put in their work…hopefully Jesse threw in a couple caps and hot dogs for the effort.

All in all it was a cool way to earn a ticket to the Rogers Centre. Well done, Jesse. Great to see players interact with fans like that.

I have been inspired to do my own "Find Mikey O" contest. The winner will receive a big ol' hug from Ryan Wagner…of course we are always pretty much here at the Fan Cave…and Thickish doesn't just hug anyone…he needs some warm-up time…ya know what? Let's take this back to the drawing board and I'll get back to you.
