Cardinals send two to minors
Infielders Garcia & Mateo sent down following game
JUPITER, Fla., March 23, 2014 - The St. Louis Cardinals announced following today's game that they have optioned infielder Greg Garcia to the Memphis (AAA) roster and re-assigned infielder Luis Mateo to their minor league camp.
The Cardinals also announced that pitcher Angel Castro has been out-righted off the team's 40-man Major League roster.
Following today's moves, the Cardinals now have 29 roster players and six non-roster players remaining in Major League Camp.
