ST. LOUIS -- The deadline to sign players selected in this year's MLB Draft passed on Friday at 4 p.m. CT with the Cardinals having signed 32 of the 44 players they selected, including 15 of their top 16 picks.

First-round pick Nick Plummer, an outfielder from Lathrup Village, Mich., is batting .186 in 17 games in the Gulf Coast League.

Third-round pick Harrison Bader, a University of Florida product, was promoted to Class A Peoria after a hot start with short-season State College, and is hitting .333 in eight games there.

Fourth-round pick Paul DeJong, from Illinois State, is batting .250 through nine games in Peoria after batting .486 in 10 games with Rookie-league affiliate Johnson City.

The club signed 28 of its Draft selections in 2014.

Worth noting: Three players from the club's Dominican Summer League affiliate will participate in the league's all-star game on Saturday. First baseman Carlos Rodriguez, outfielder Wadye Ynfante and outfielder Brian Sanchez were selected to take part.
