Cardinals Sign Six Additional Draft Picks from 2017 Class

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today the signing of six more players from the 2017 First-Year Player draft, as well as two non-drafted free agents who have agreed to terms with the organization.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today the signing of six more players from the 2017 First-Year Player draft, as well as two non-drafted free agents who have agreed to terms with the organization. Five pitchers, two outfielders and a catcher are among the latest players who have signed and passed physicals with St. Louis.
Seventh round selection CF Chase Pinder joins fifth round pick Zach Kirtley as the two highest 2017 draft pick signed by St. Louis, and gives the team four of their top eight picks signed. Other draft selections joining Pinder in today's announcement include LHP Andrew Summerville (12th Round), OF Terry Fuller (15th Round), LHP Jake Dahlberg (21st Round), RHP Alex Fagalde (30th Round) and RHP Cory Malcom (34th Round).
The team also announced they have agreed to terms with two non-drafted, free-agents: RHP Gabriel Gentner, a senior out of Cal State University, Los Angeles, and C Robbie Coman, a fifth-year senior from the University of Virginia.
The Cardinals have until July 7 at 4:00 p.m. CT, to sign players from the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
