Outfielder remains among rookie leaders despite time missed

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to this evening's game that they have activated rookie outfielder Randal Grichuk (right elbow strain) from the 15-day disabled list.

Grichuk, who missed 18 games during his recent stint on the D. L., is still ranked among National League rookie leaders in doubles (21-7th), triples (7-1st), home runs (15-T3rd), RBI (9th) and extra base hits (43-2nd). Grichuk, 24, also missed time earlier this season (April 17-May 15) due to a lower back strain.
