LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- After missing the first few days of camp because he had all four wisdom teeth removed, Astros shortstop Carlos Correa made his Grapefruit League debut Sunday against the Braves at ESPN Wild World of Sports, going 1-for-3 with a walk in the Astros' 3-2 win.
"It was good," Correa said. "I felt comfortable, especially on the defensive side of it. I felt really comfortable reading balls off the bat and stuff like that. Offensively, I felt good. I saw the pitches really well. I have to clean up the strike zone a little bit, but other than that, I feel good."
Correa won't play in Monday's game, but is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals and Wednesday against the Marlins. He said he'll take Thursday off before playing Friday and Saturday. He's scheduled to leave camp in a week to join Puerto Rico for the World Baseball Classic.

Puerto Rico plays its first game March 10 against Venezuela (featuring Astros second baseman Jose Altuve) in the first round in Guadalajara, Mexico.
"I want to be ready to go, you know?" Correa said. "I want to see more pitches. Today I played seven innings, four at-bats, that's what I need before I leave. I need to get as many at-bats as I can and be ready for the Classic."
Astros outfielders George Springer and Josh Reddick and first baseman Yulieski Gurriel will make their Grapefruit League debuts on Monday against the Mets in Port St. Lucie. Carlos Beltran and Marwin Gonzalez won't play until Tuesday's opener at Ballpark of the Palm Beaches against the Nationals.
Odds and ends
Left-hander Dallas Keuchel threw his first live batting practice of the spring Sunday in West Palm Beach, Fla. Among the batters he faced were Altuve and Beltran.
"All went well with Dallas and his first time off a mound versus hitters," manager A.J. Hinch said. "Good next step in getting him ready. I'm glad to hear he felt fine physically."
