LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- After missing the first few days of camp because he had all four wisdom teeth removed, Astros shortstop made his Grapefruit League debut Sunday against the Braves at ESPN Wild World of Sports, going 1-for-3 with a walk in the Astros' 3-2 win.
"It was good," Correa said. "I felt comfortable, especially on the defensive side of it. I felt really comfortable reading balls off the bat and stuff like that. Offensively, I felt good. I saw the pitches really well. I have to clean up the strike zone a little bit, but other than that, I feel good."
Correa won't play in Monday's game, but is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals and Wednesday against the Marlins. He said he'll take Thursday off before playing Friday and Saturday. He's scheduled to leave camp in a week to join Puerto Rico for the World Baseball Classic.
