Martinez, Volquez reportedly lead DR rotation

Three right-handed pitchers -- the Cardinals' , the Marlins' and the Brewers' -- are expected to make up the starting rotation for the Dominican Republic in Round 1 of the World Baseball Classic, according to MLB Network insider Jon Paul Morosi.
Per Morosi, Martinez is scheduled to pitch Thursday against Canada, with Volquez following on Saturday against the United States and Peralta facing Colombia on Sunday.

Martinez and Peralta will be making their Classic debuts. Martinez is 34-21 with a 3.32 ERA during his four-year Major League career, while Peralta is 42-48 with a 4.20 ERA in five big league seasons.
WBC 2017 will be Volquez's third time representing the Dominican in the tournament. In 2013, he went 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA in 10 1/3 innings, and in '09, he went 0-1 without allowing an earned run in three innings.
The World Baseball Classic runs through March 22.
