The Yankees did not officially announce a corresponding roster move, but J.A. Happ is slated to be activated off the disabled list to start Thursday's series opener against Texas. Happ went six innings in his only Yankees start, on July 29, allowing one run to the Royals.

Happ had been sidelined with hand, foot and mouth disease but has been virus-free for several days.

In Triple-A this season, Adams is 3-5 with a 4.50 ERA in 21 starts (98 innings). He racked up 102 strikeouts against 48 walks.
