Cubs unveil finalized Spring Training schedule

CHICAGO -- With temperatures in Chicago forecast for the single digits Monday, it was the perfect time for the Cubs to release their final 2015 Spring Training schedule. The Cubs will open Cactus League play on March 5 with split-squad games against the Athletics at Cubs Park and against the Giants in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The Cubs' schedule will conclude with two games at Chase Field April 3-4 against the D-backs. Chicago also will play split squad games March 13-14 in Las Vegas against Oakland at Cashman Field.

New Cubs manager Joe Maddon will get his first look at pitchers and catchers, including lefty Jon Lester, when they report Feb. 19 at the team's 1-year-old complex. Position players are scheduled to report Feb. 24, and the first full-squad workout will be the next day.

The Cubs and White Sox will meet twice, squaring off March 20 in Glendale and again March 27 in Mesa.

Individual-game tickets for Cubs home spring games go on sale Saturday at 11 a.m. CT on Cubs.com. For season-ticket and group-ticket information, go to www.cubs.com/mesa or call 1-800-THE-CUBS.
