White Sox host Cubs on March 21; Cactus League ticket plans on sale

CHICAGO -- With the first snowfall forecast to fall Monday in Chicago, the White Sox provided a quick look into warmer times.

The 2014 Spring Training schedule was announced by the team, a ledger of White Sox games that starts on Friday, Feb. 28 as the visiting team against the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch. The two teams share the ballpark in Glendale, Ariz.

A game against Cleveland on March 1 marks the first of 14 home contests at Camelback Ranch. The White Sox and Cubs meet up on March 21 in Glendale and then play again on March 27 in Mesa.

All White Sox Cactus League home games are set for first pitch at 2:05 p.m. CT or 3:05 p.m. CT, depending on Daylight Saving Time beginning on March 9, except for night games at 9:05 p.m. CT on March 15 against the Dodgers and March 22 against the Giants. The White Sox have split-squad games on March 6 against Seattle at home, in Surprise against the Royals and on March 22 against the Giants in Glendale and the Padres in Peoria.

The White Sox exhibition schedule finishes with a contest at Regions Field against Double-A Birmingham (Ala.) on Friday, March 28. The White Sox open the 2014 regular season at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday, March 31 against the Twins.

Season-ticket plans for games at Camelback Ranch are on sale. The plans include all 25 White Sox and Dodgers home games or all 14 White Sox home games or a mini-plan that involves any three or more games of choice.

Fans who purchase $100 or more in mini-plan tickets will receive four complimentary tickets to a White Sox home game against the Twins on either April 2 or April 3.

A Spring Training broadcast schedule and tickets to individual games at Camelback Ranch will be available at a later date. All White Sox Spring Training information is available at whitesox.com/spring.
