Robinson Chirinos to Hold Thanksgiving Event at Arlington Life Shelter on Monday Night

Rangers catcher will be joined by pitcher Tanner Scheppers and team Hall of Famer Jim Sundberg

Arlington, TX - Texas Rangers catcher Robinson Chirnos and his Foundation will hold a Thanksgiving event at the Arlington Life Shelter on Monday, November 24 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m.

Chirnos will provide dinner from Gabriela's & Sofia's Tex Mex Restaurant and also distribute scarves, hats, and gloves. He will be joined by pitcher Tanner Scheppers and his wife Jessica and Rangers Hall of Famer Jim Sundberg.

All media outlets are invited to cover the event. The Arlington Life Shelter is located at 325 West Division St. in Arlington. Chirinos will be available to the media at approximately 5:30 p.m. before the start of the dinner.

2015 SPRING TRAINING REPORTING DATES ANNOUNCED

The Texas Rangers today announced the reporting and first workout dates for the team's 2015 major league spring training camp in Surprise, Arizona.

Pitchers and catchers: Report on Friday, Feb. 20; First Workout on Saturday, Feb. 21

Position players: Report on Wednesday, Feb. 25; First Full Squad Workout on Thursday, Feb. 26

The Cactus League schedule opens on Wednesday, March 4 when the Rangers face the Kansas City Royals at 1:05 p.m. MT at Surprise Stadium.
