August 25th, 2018

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers won the battle of the Moose to open Players' Weekend.
After (Yeli) had already hit a two-run home run, Mike Moustakas (Moose) capped Milwaukee's four-run first inning off Pirates starter Joe Musgrove (also Moose) with another two-run shot in Friday's series-opening 7-6, 15-inning victory at Miller Park.

(Lo Cain) opened the frame with a ground-rule double to right-center field, and Yelich then jumped on the first pitch he saw from Musgrove, a slider, and hit it off the scoreboard in center field. Statcast™ projected the ball traveled 421 feet and left Yelich's bat at 108 mph.
The clout was Yelich's 22nd of the season, which gives him a career high.

The next batter, (El Causa), singled and was on third base with two outs when Moustakas launched a 2-2 slider into the right-field bleachers to put Milwaukee up 4-0. The homer was Moustakas' third with the Brewers and 23rd for the season.
