Cleveland Indians Charities High School Hardball Classic presented by Novacare Rehabilitation set for April 24 at Progressive Field

Six area teams to take part in 12th annual event benefiting Cleveland Indians Charities

Cleveland, OH-The 12th annual Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC) High School Hardball Classic presented by Novacare Rehabilitation, featuring six area high school baseball teams, will be played at Progressive Field Friday, April 24.

This year's schedule includes:
3PM: Rocky River vs. Eastlake North
5:30PM: Chagrin Falls vs. Bay
8PM: North Royalton vs. St. Ignatius

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $5 at the Progressive Field Box Office or Progressive Field Team Shop. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event for $7 each. All proceeds from the event will benefit Cleveland Indians Charities, which is celebrating its 27th year. (Rain date for this year's event is Sunday, May 17.)

Since 1989, CIC has donated nearly $10 million to youth-oriented agencies and organizations of Northeast Ohio, including a $1 million donation in April 2012 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland's "Save the Kids" campaign. Additionally, Cleveland Metropolitan School District high school baseball and softball programs are made possible due to a multi-million-dollar commitment from Cleveland Indians Charities.
