Cards' Winter Warm-Up confirmed to begin today

January 14th, 2017

The St. Louis Cardinals will proceed as scheduled with the Cardinals Caravans and Winter Warm-Up activities planned for this Sunday and Monday, the team confirmed on Saturday.
The organization called off Cardinals Caravans on Friday and Saturday and the first day of Winter Warm-Up on Saturday because of severe winter weather conditions.
After consulting with the National Weather Service and representatives of the Missouri and Illinois Departments of Transportation, the Cardinals confirmed the weather caused by Winter Storm Jupiter will pass by the area by Sunday morning. The conditions will be safe to carry out the event by the time it begins on Sunday.
"We understand the worst of the storm will have passed before we open our doors to fans on Sunday," said Michael Hall, executive director of Cardinals Care and vice president of community relations. "We are blessed to have all of our players scheduled to sign on Sunday already safely in St. Louis and are confident those scheduled to arrive Sunday shouldn't be delayed by weather."
Those who purchased tickets for Saturday's autograph sessions will be refunded. Every fan who purchased a pass for Winter Warm-Up will also receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to a 2017 home game.
Fans who purchased those passes online will automatically receive their complimentary ticket voucher. Others can claim that voucher at the Busch Stadium ticket window starting on Tuesday, or by mailing their passes to the Cardinals' ticket office along with a return address.
