Colorado Rockies reinstate right-handed pitcher Adam Ottavino

Right-handed pitcher Carlos Estévez optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Adam Ottavino from the 10-day disabled list (right shoulder inflammation) and have optioned right-hander Carlos Estévez to Triple-A Albuquerque.
·Ottavino, 31, was placed on the 10-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation on May 30 … has made 23 appearances for the Rockies this season with a 2.57 ERA (21.0 IP, 6 ER), 15 walks and 24 strikeouts while limiting opponents to a .203 batting average … his 15 holds rank first in the National League, tied for first in the Major Leagues … posted scoreless outings in each of his last seven appearances and in 18 of his 23 appearances overall … returned from Tommy John surgery in July, 2016 and went 1-3 with seven saves and a 2.67 ERA (27.0 IP, 8 ER) in 34 appearances … in 251 career appearances with St. Louis (2010) and Colorado (2012-17), is 9-13 with 11 saves, a 3.68 ERA (303.0 IP, 124 ER), 114 walks and 313 strikeouts.
Estévez, 24, was recalled from Albuquerque May 30, his second appearance on the active roster, his third overall appearance including his appointment as the 26th man for the second game of the Rockies doubleheader on May 28 at Minnesota … in 16 games this season has gone 3-0 with a 8.16 ERA (14.1 IP, 13 ER), five walks and 15 strikeouts … made his Major League debut in 2016 and went 3-7 with 11 saves, a 5.24 ERA (55.0 IP, 32 ER), 28 walks and 59 strikeouts in 63 appearances.
