ST. PETERSBURG -- Corey Dickerson won't go away when it comes to the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot voting this season.
Major League Baseball released the latest results on Tuesday and Dickerson remains very much in the running as the third-place candidate in the voting for American League DH.

Translation: Rays fans need to get active at the polls if they want to see Dickerson at the Midsummer Classic.
"To date, it would probably be my biggest achievement, besides being a Major League Baseball player," Dickerson said. "To always be known as an All-Star in the Major Leagues. I made the All-Star team in the Minor Leagues two or three times, but didn't get to go because I got called up to the next level and always had to miss it. So it would be nice to be able to participate in one."
The top five position players at first base, second, shortstop, third, catcher and DH were announced while the top 15 outfielders were announced. Dickerson was the only Rays player among the leaders.
Ahead of Dickerson in the voting are Nelson Cruz of the Mariners with 1,118,873 votes and Matt Holiday of the Yankees (927,247). Dickerson has 926,163 votes, just ahead of Edwin Encarnacion of the Indians (813,715).
Dickerson is appreciate of the support so far.
"Yeah, because we are a small market," Dickerson said. "It just shows that a lot of fans are looking at the numbers and voting who deserves to be there. I think it's pretty cool, and I'm very thankful for every fan that votes for me."

Dickerson is having an All-Star-caliber season. Heading into Tuesday night's action against the Reds, Dickerson was hitting .325 with 15 home runs, 34 RBIs and a .941 OPS. All of Dickerson's 2017 success comes after a 25-pound weight loss from 2016, and he's healthy, unlike last season.
"He definitely deserves to be in the All-Star Game," Rays first baseman Logan Morrison said. "Without him, I don't know where we'd be. He's always on base. He's got the best of both worlds. He gets on base for us and he hits for power. He's got some instant offense in there. Doubles, a lot of doubles. I've been really impressed with him.
"And after the year he went through last year, playing hurt and doing everything that he's done in the offseason to get himself healthy. To get himself right. To be able to do what he's doing now is pretty impressive and I'm happy for him."

Following the announcement of the 2017 All-Star starters, reserves and pitchers, fans should return to MLB.com and cast their 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote for the final player on each league's All-Star roster. Then on Tuesday, July 11, while watching the 2017 All-Star Game presented by MasterCard live on FOX, fans may visit MLB.com to submit their choices for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet with the 2017 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote.
