Seager needs boost in NL All-Star voting

June 8th, 2016

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have needed Corey Seager's help all year and now Seager needs help of the fans to get into the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game presented by MasterCard.
Even though the hot-hitting rookie shortstop is leading his club in most of the key offensive metrics, he wasn't listed among the top five at his position in the latest update of the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot on Wednesday.
In order, the top five vote-getters at shortstop for the National League are Addison Russell of the Cubs, Trevor Story of the Rockies, Brandon Crawford of the Giants, Asdrubal Cabrera of the Mets and Zack Cozart of the Reds.
The only Dodgers player listed among the leading vote-getters this week was Adrian Gonzalez, who repeated last week's third-place positioning behind Anthony Rizzo of the Cubs and Brandon Belt of the Giants.
