Crawford struggling to get back on track

LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers left fielder Carl Crawford is 1-for-24 with two walks and seven strikeouts in six games since returning from a strained left hamstring on Friday in San Francisco. His only hit was a bunt single Tuesday in Arizona.

"I think Carl has a little timing issue," said Dodgers manager Don Mattingly. "He feels like he's starting a little bit late. He hasn't had quite enough at-bats to get sharp. I think it's just a matter of time for Carl."

Crawford missed 30 games with the hamstring issue, and had 14 plate appearances over four Minor League rehab games with Class A Rancho Cucamonga before he was activated. He was hitting .301 in 51 games before going on the disabled list, but his averaged has dropped to .271.

Crawford was not in the lineup Thursday against Rockies left-hander Drew Pomeranz. The former All-Star is hitting .264 against left-handed pitching this season.

Jerry Hairston Jr. started in left field.
