Crazy Hurdle Over Catcher

Franklin High School and Davis High School were squaring off in the Division 1 Playoffs Monday night when an opposite field, bases-loaded single to right field plated a pair of runs.

The second run was anything but routine for Franklin, as the runner elected to take the high road to get past Davis’ catcher.

He did an all-around great job of handling the play. He identified the throw was coming in and saw where the catcher was positioned. He hurdled the catcher and maintained the presence of mind to swipe home plate with his hand as he landed.

Franklin went on to win the game 12-3.
