Cubs announce playoff ticket opportunities

CHICAGO -- Excited about the Cubs playing postseason baseball? Starting today, fans can register for a random drawing to win a chance to purchase single-game postseason tickets for a potential National League Wild Card Game presented by Budweiser and NL Division Series game.

The Cubs announced details Thursday for fans who want the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets to potential postseason games at Wrigley Field.

From now until until noon CT on Sept. 23, fans can register for the random drawing. Registration will remain open throughout the postseason at www.cubs.com/postseason, with cut-off times for drawings to additional potential series to be announced as the postseason unfolds.

Fans who register for the online ticket opportunity will be notified via email before single-game tickets go on sale if they have been selected for a chance to purchase. Those who are randomly selected from all eligible registrants will have a one-time chance to purchase a maximum of four tickets to a potential Wild Card Game or NLDS game at Wrigley Field, pending availability.

Tickets will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. Being selected in a drawing does not guarantee the opportunity to purchase tickets to a postseason game.

The number of potential postseason tickets that may become available to fans is limited as a result of ticket allocations to Cubs season-ticket holders and other partners. To provide a purchase opportunity to as many fans as possible, all registered fans who are not selected for early postseason contests will remain eligible for selection if the Cubs advance to subsequent rounds. Fans may only purchase tickets once during the postseason.

The postseason single-game ticket on-sale date and pricing will be announced at a later time.

Fans can visit www.cubs.com/postseason for more information about potential single-game postseason ticket sales or call the Cubs Fan Services team at 773-388-8270 with any questions.

Registration is open to legal residents of the 50 United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited; additional exclusions apply. Full terms and conditions are available at www.cubs.com/postseason.
