PITTSBURGH -- Cubs right fielder Matt Szczur exited Monday's 7-2 win against the Pirates with tightness in his right hamstring after scoring in the fifth inning.
"We will have him get an MRI in the morning," Cubs manager Joe Maddon said. "In the morning we will find out more. We don't know [the severity of the injury]."
Szczur scored from third as part of a delayed double steal when David Ross took off for second. The throw from Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison sailed too high for catcher Francisco Cervelli, and Harrison was charged with an error on the play. Javier Baez replaced Szczur, playing second, with starting second baseman Ben Zobrist moving to right field.
