Cubs' spring slate includes pair vs. Mets in Vegas

Chicago's first game March 3 against Milwaukee

CHICAGO -- The Cubs will open their Spring Training schedule on March 3 against the Brewers in Maryvale, Ariz., and wrap up with a rematch in Las Vegas against the Mets, who swept them in the National League Championship Series.

The Cubs finish the exhibition schedule March 31-April 1 at Cashman Field in Las Vegas, where the Mets' Triple-A team plays, before heading to Anaheim for the 2016 season opener against the Angels on April 4. The Cubs also will play one final tuneup against the Angels on April 3 at Angel Stadium.

Chicago's first home game at Sloan Park in Mesa, Ariz., will be March 4 against the Angels. The 31-game schedule includes 14 home games.

The Cubs and White Sox play twice, meeting March 12 in Mesa and again March 18 in Glendale, Ariz.

Individual game tickets for home Spring Training games go on sale Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. CT on cubs.com.
