Cubs unveil Minor League coaches, staff list

In a nod to their organization-wide success over the past two years, the Cubs on Friday unveiled a list of Minor League managers, coaches and staff with only a handful of changes.
All of the managers at the Cubs' top six affiliates will return to their posts in 2017, including Triple-A skipper Marty Pevey, who is back for a fifth season. The top newcomer to the organization is Double-A Tennessee hitting coach Jacob Cruz, who spent the past six seasons in similar roles in Arizona's farm system.
Here are the staffs for each club:
Triple-A Iowa
Manager: Marty Pevey
Pitching coach: Rod Nichols
Hitting coaches: Desi Wilson and Mariano Duncan
Athletic trainer/assistant: Shane Nelson/Jon Fierro 
Strength coach: Ryan Clausen
Pevey has a combined 33 years of professional experience; 13 years as a player and 20 years as a manager, coach or coordinator. Nichols is entering his second season as the team's pitching coach after three years as the Phillies' Major League bullpen coach. Wilson and Duncan will share hitting coach duties for Iowa -- Wilson after four seasons as Double-A Tennessee's hitting coach, and Duncan after four years as a hitting coach at the Class A Advanced level.

Manager: Mark Johnson
Pitching coach: Terry Clark
Hitting coach: Jacob Cruz
Assistant coach: Ricardo Medina
Athletic trainer: Mike McNulty 
Strength coach: Mike McGrew
Johnson will be in his second season at Tennessee and his seventh in the Cubs organization as a manager or coach. His teams have reached the postseason in four of his first six Minor League managerial seasons, including a Midwest League title with Class A Kane County in 2014 and a Mills Cup Championship with Class A Advanced Myrtle Beach in '15.
Class A Advanced Myrtle Beach
Manager: Buddy Bailey
Pitching coach: Anderson Tavares 
Hitting coaches: Guillermo Martinez  
Assistant coach: Ty Wright   
Athletic trainer: Toby Williams 
Strength coach: Jason Morriss   
Bailey begins his second season after leading Myrtle Beach to its second straight Mills Cup title last year. It will be his 29th year as a manager and 12th with the Cubs organization.
Class A South Bend
Manager: Jimmy Gonzalez
Pitching coach: Brian Lawrence      
Hitting coaches: Jeremy Farrell
Assistant coach: Jonathan Mota
Athletic trainer: Logan Severson     
Strength coach: Ryan Nordtvedt     
Gonzalez will manage his fourth season in the Cubs' chain, and his third year at South Bend. Farrell, the son of Red Sox manager John Farrell, joins the team as hitting coach after handling the same duty with Mesa last season.
Class A Short-Season Eugene
Manager: Jesus Feliciano
Pitching coach: David Rosario
Hitting coaches: Juan Cabreja  
Assistant coach: Gary Van Tol   
Athletic trainer: James Edwards    
Feliciano led Eugene to the Northwest League title last year. He played 16 pro seasons from 1998-2013, including action in 54 games with the Mets in '10.
