Peralta activated from DL, feels 'great'

Right fielder goes 2-for-3, hits solo home run in return

PHOENIX -- David Peralta is back with the D-backs.
Arizona activated the right fielder from the 15-day disabled list, and he was in the starting lineup for Monday night's 6-4 loss to the Rays at Chase Field, batting sixth and playing right field. The 28-year-old had been on the DL since May 15 with right wrist inflammation and played in two rehab games with Triple-A Reno over the weekend, going 1-for-6 with two walks and an RBI.
"I'm really excited to be back with the team," said Peralta, who went 2-for-3 with a homer. "I feel 100 percent. My wrist feels really good. I went to play a couple games in extended [spring camp] and Reno, and I wasn't worried about my wrist at all. I was not worried about how my wrist was feeling, it feels really great."
In 33 games prior to his injury, Peralta batted .260/.321/.439 with seven doubles, three triples, three home runs and 12 RBIs.
"He'll be in there probably just as much as he would before the injury, it just depends on how he feels," D-backs manager Chip Hale said. "We have to be very careful. It's a wrist, and obviously hitting and diving and all the things you do in baseball could affect it, so we really have to keep a good eye on it."
With Peralta back, Arizona now has six outfielders on the active roster. Chris Owings was out of Monday's lineup after leaving Sunday's game against the Cubs with foot soreness, but Hale said he is day-to-day.
To clear space for Peralta, the D-backs optioned right-hander Silvino Bracho to Reno. The 23-year-old has made six relief appearances over two stints with Arizona this season, allowing five earned runs in six innings.
