Peralta scratched, but available to pinch-hit
D-backs outfielder has stiffness in two fingers on left hand
PHOENIX -- D-backs outfielder David Peralta was a late scratch from Tuesday's starting lineup against the Braves, though he was available to pinch-hit.
Peralta has been dealing with an injury to the middle and index fingers on his left hand which he suffered when he was hit in the hand on a bunt attempt Sunday in Milwaukee. He was out of the lineup for Monday's series opener.
D-backs manager Chip Hale said Peralta was available as a pinch-hit option off the bench Monday, but he was not needed.
The issue for Peralta has been with throwing the ball, as the injury is to the fingers on his throwing hand. He tried to throw Monday, but Hale said it was still causing Peralta some discomfort.
Peralta said on Monday that the injury was "no big deal" and that he does not think a trip to the disabled list will be necessary.
Ender Inciarte moved from right field to left and Mark Trumbo started in right for Tuesday.
