Corbin, D-backs fan 10 in win over Reds

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- took a good first step in his bid to secure a spot in the D-backs' rotation by tossing a pair of scoreless innings Monday afternoon as Arizona beat the Reds, 6-1, at Salt River Fields.
Corbin, who struggled while in the rotation last season and wound up being moved to the bullpen in August, did not allow a hit while walking one and striking out three.
"It was fun to get back out there again," Corbin said. "I felt like the ball was coming out good and I was able to locate my fastball and work ahead of guys. I'm pleased with the first outing."
, who was signed as a free agent last month, made his Reds debut and walked two over 1 2/3 hitless innings.

Feldman did not receive much help from his defense, as shortstop committed a pair of errors in the second which led to two unearned runs. For the game, the Reds committed four errors, the first time they have done so in a Spring Training game since March 17, 2013.
"I think for the first time out, it actually felt pretty good," Feldman said. "Obviously the command and all of that stuff comes around. I don't like walking guys. But as far as my arm feels, I'm really happy with the way everything feels. I was talking to Mack [Jenkins, the Reds pitching coach] afterwards and told most of the time my first outing in the spring feels terrible. I feel nice and healthy and strong."
, who is battling for a spot in the rotation, tossed an impressive two innings. The left-handed prospect retired all six of the hitters he faced.
The D-backs scored another unearned run in the fifth when let 's grounder go between his legs for a double. One out later, drove Negron home with a single to left.
Outfielder hit a three-run homer in the eighth to cap the Arizona scoring.

Reds Up Next: Tuesday's 3:05 p.m. ET game vs. the White Sox will feature the spring debut of three key pitchers. will make the start while late inning relievers and are slated to come out of the bullpen. For Storen, it will be his first outing in a Reds uniform.
D-backs Up Next: Right-hander will make his D-backs debut Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. MST against the Rangers in Surprise. The D-backs acquired Walker from the Mariners in December.
