Goldy, Greinke among Gold Glove finalists

PHOENIX -- D-backs first baseman and pitcher Zack Greinke turned in good seasons on defense, but whether they were golden or not remains to be seen.
Goldschmidt and Greinke were named finalists for Rawlings' 2017 Gold Glove Award on Thursday.
The winners will be announced on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. MST on ESPN.

This year's Gold Glove Awards represent just one way the game's top performers will be recognized. Voting is underway now for the Esurance MLB Awards, which annually honor MLB's greatest achievements as part of an industry-wide balloting process. The MLB Awards season will culminate on Nov. 17, when winners are announced live on MLB Network and MLB.com starting at 6 p.m. MT.

Goldschmidt, who won a Gold Glove in 2013 and another in '15, was second in the National League among first basemen with 10 defensive runs saved.

Other finalists at first base include the Reds' Joey Votto, who led NL first basemen in defensive runs saved with 11, and the Cubs' .
Greinke has won three consecutive Gold Gloves, and is joined by finalists R.A. Dickey of the Braves and Milwaukee's .
