D-backs place Josh Collmenter on 15-day disabled list; recall Brad Bergesen from Reno

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks announced they have placed right-handed pitcher Josh Collmenter on the 15-day disabled list with ulcers and recalled right-handed pitcher Brad Bergesen from Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs’ Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.
                                                                                          
Collmenter, 26, is 3-3 with a 4.24 ERA (35 ER in 74.1 IP) in 22 games (9 starts) with the D-backs in 2012. In his last 18 games (5 starts), he went 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA (15 ER in 56.0 IP).

Bergesen, 26, tossed 3.2 scoreless innings in his only start with Reno on Aug. 5 at Iowa. He also made 3 relief appearances with the D-backs this season and posted a 1.80 ERA (1 ER in 5.0 IP) before being optioned on Aug. 1.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder was claimed by the D-backs on July 20 from the Orioles.
