D-backs place Randall Delgado on the 15-day disabled list; recall Addison Reed from Triple-A Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) placed right-handed pitcher Randall Delgado on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right ankle (retro to July 28), and recalled right-handed pitcher Addison Reed from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

Delgado, 25, suffered the right ankle injury during a conditioning session prior to last night's game. In 41 relief appearances with the D-backs this season, Delgado was 4-3 with 1 save, a 2.79 ERA (15 ER in 48.1 IP) and 46 strikeouts. He owned a 0.66 ERA (1 ER in 13.2 IP) in his last 12 outings prior to the injury.

Reed, 26, was 1-1 with 5 saves, a 1.74 ERA (2 ER in 10.1 IP) and 11 strikeouts in 11 games with the Aces this season. In his last 8 Triple-A games, he recorded 5 saves, a 1.13 ERA (1 ER in 8.0 IP) and a .194 average against (6-for-31).

Reed was 2-2 with 3 saves and a 5.92 ERA (16 ER in 24.1 IP) in 25 games with Arizona in 2015 prior to being optioned to Reno on June 22.
