D-backs recall Spruill from Triple-A Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled right-handed pitcher Zeke Spruill (@zekespruill) from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.

Spruill, who will celebrate his 25th birthday on Thursday, begins his third stint with the D-backs. In 2 games (1 start), is 0-1 with 4.82 ERA (5 ER in 9.1 IP). For the doubleheader on May 25 @ New York Mets, he was recalled as the 26th man and started the second game, allowing 3 earned runs over 5.1 innings in a 4-2 loss.

In 28 games (11 starts) with Triple-A Reno, Spruill went 3-7 with 1 save and a 6.04 ERA (53 ER in 79.0 IP).

Last season, Spruill was 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA (7 ER in 11.1 IP) in 6 games (2 starts) for the D-backs.

The D-backs' 40-man roster remains at 40.
