D-backs reinstate Kubel from paternity list, option Pollock to Reno

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks announced they have reinstated outfielder Jason Kubel from the paternity list and optioned outfielder A.J. Pollock from Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs’ Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.
 
Kubel, 30, was placed on the paternity list on Wednesday (May 30) to return Phoenix for the birth of his second child. He arrived at the hospital and within 10 minutes, his wife, Blake, had their first daughter, Heidi Evelyn, at 11:56 a.m. Heidi was 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 19 ¾”. Jason & Blake also have a son, Owen.
 
Pollock, 24, did not appear in a game. He has batted .354 (34-for-96) with 9 doubles and 13 RBI in 22 games with Reno. He hit .229 (11-for-48) with 2 doubles, 1 home run and 4 RBI in 20 games with the D-backs from April 18-May 18.
