D-backs reinstate Zack Greinke from 15-day disabled list

The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated RHP Zack Greinke (left oblique strain) from the 15-day disabled list, placed C Welington Castillo on the Paternity Leave List, and recalled C Óscar Hernández from Double-A Mobile, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) reinstated RHP Zack Greinke (left oblique strain) from the 15-day disabled list, placed C Welington Castillo on the Paternity Leave List, and recalled C Óscar Hernández (@OscarHernDbacks) from Double-A Mobile, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. Following Sunday's game, Arizona optioned RHP Evan Marshall to Triple-A Reno.
Greinke, 32, is 10-3 with a 3.62 ERA (44 ER in 109.1 IP) with 91 strikeouts against 21 walks in 17 starts for the D-backs this season. In 2 rehab starts between the AZL D-backs and Triple-A Reno, he combined to go 0-1 with a 5.63 ERA (5 ER in 8.0 IP) and 10 strikeouts.
Greinke is scheduled to start tonight's game at Mets.
Castillo, 29, has left the team to be with his wife, Kissalry, for the birth of their second child. By rule, he will miss a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 3.
Hernández, 23, has combined to hit .255 (52-for-204) with 10 homers and 31 RBI in 61 games between Single-A Visalia and Mobile. The 6-1, 230-pound backstop made his Major League debut with the D-backs in 2015, appearing in 18 games.
