D-backs resinstate Gregorius from 7-day Disabled List; Option Marte to Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) announced they reinstated infielder Didi Gregorius (@DidiG18) from the 7-day disabled list (retro to April 27) and optioned outfielder Alfredo Marte to Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.

Gregorius, 23, sustained a mild concussion after being struck in the head by a Josh Outman pitch on April 26. He has hit safely in all 7 games this season, going 11-for-27 (.407) with 4 doubles, 2 home runs and 2 RBI.

Marte, 24, hit .186 (8-for-43) with 3 doubles and 4 RBI in 22 games with the D-backs this season. He made his Major League debut on April 2 vs. Cardinals, and collected his first hit on April 8 vs. Pirates.
