D-backs select Michael Bourn from Double-A Mobile

The Arizona Diamondbacks selected OF Michael Bourn from Double-A Mobile, placed OF David Peralta on the 15-day disabled list (right wrist inflammation) and designated RHP Cody Hall for assignment, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) selected OF Michael Bourn from Double-A Mobile, placed OF David Peralta on the 15-day disabled list (right wrist inflammation) and designated RHP Cody Hall for assignment, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.
 
Bourn, 33, is a 2-time NL All-Star (2010, '12) and Rawlings® Gold Glove winner in center field (2009-10). Since 2008, he is tied for the Major League lead with 307 stolen bases, ranks second with 238 infield hits and is third with 70 bunt hits.
 
The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder was signed by the D-backs to a Minor League contract on May 10 and hit .318 (7-for-22) with a double and a RBI in 5 games for the BayBears. Bourn will wear uniform No. 1.  
 
Peralta, 28, is hitting .260 with 7 doubles, 3 triples, 3 homers and 12 RBI in 33 games this season.
 
Hall, 28, has appeared in 12 games this season for Triple-A Reno, pitching to a 7.98 ERA (13 ER in 14.2 IP).
