D-backs set to begin third Spring Training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on Feb. 11

Team Announces Reporting Dates And 20 Non-Roster Invitees

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks announced reporting dates for their third Spring Training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 11 with their first workout on Feb. 12. Position players will report on Feb. 14 with the first full-squad workout on Feb. 15.

Workouts are open to the public, and fans may park in the Desert Lot on the north side of the complex, which is best accessed via 90th Street off of Via de Ventura.

The club has 20 non-roster invitees for camp along with the players on the 40-man roster, which can be found here: http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/team/roster_40man.jsp?c_id=ari. The breakdown of non-roster invitees includes 8 pitchers, 4 catchers, 6 infielders and 2 outfielders:

Pitchers (8):

   + Right-handed pitchers (6): Eddie Bonine, Nelson Figueroa, Warner Madrigal, Evan Marshall, Garrett Mock, Bo Schultz;

   + Left-handed pitchers (2): David Holmberg, Rommie Lewis;

Catchers (4): Ed Easley, Tuffy Gosewisch, Rossmel Perez and Mark Reed;

Infielders (6): Matt Davidson, Jon Griffin, Kila Ka’aihue, Chris Owings, Mark Teahen and Josh Wilson;

Outfielders (2): Jeremy Reed and Brad Snyder.

The D-backs will open the Cactus League exhibition season on Feb. 23 versus the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick a 1:10 p.m
