This week, MLB offers fans another unique viewing experience with the continuation of its digital-only broadcasts. Today's Dodgers-D-backs matchup will air live in the United States exclusively on Facebook. The finale to the four-game series at Chase Field is one of 25 streaming broadcasts scheduled for 2018 as part of MLB's partnership with Facebook this season.
Fans can catch the 3:40 p.m. ET contest by logging onto Facebook's MLB Live page from their phones, tablets, smart TVs or other streaming devices. MLB Network will produce the game, with play-by-play announcer Rich Waltz, analysts Orel Hershiser and Eric Byrnes -- who played for the D-backs from 2006-09 -- and in-game reporter Alanna Rizzo.

What to know about the Dodgers-D-backs game
The Dodgers and D-backs are National League West rivals that have experienced markedly different starts to the 2018 season. While Arizona is seeking its 10th consecutive series win to open the year, Los Angeles has stumbled out of the gate in its quest for a sixth consecutive division title.
Injuries have hit the Dodgers hard in the early going, with third baseman Justin Turner recovering from a broken wrist sustained on a hit-by-pitch during Spring Training, and, more recently, shortstop Corey Seager needing season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right elbow and Hyun-Jin Ryu exiting Wednesday's start with a left groin strain.

Alex Wood is slated to take the mound for the Dodgers. The 27-year-old left-hander had a fantastic first half in 2017 -- he posted a 1.67 ERA in 15 appearances (13 starts) prior to the All-Star break -- but so far this season, he has a 4.11 ERA in six starts. However, his '18 debut was stellar, as he tossed eight scoreless innings against the Giants. He has posted a 5.33 ERA since.

Wood's counterpart will be fellow southpaw Patrick Corbin, who is enjoying a sensational start to his season, posting a 2.25 ERA and a 37 percent strikeout rate (55 strikeouts out of 150 batters faced) over six starts. He's also walked just seven batters in 40 innings, and he took a no-hitter into the eighth inning against the Giants on April 17, eventually wrapping up a one-hit shutout.
