PHOENIX -- D-backs outfielder Yasmany Tomás left Tuesday night's 7-4 loss against the Braves at the start of the eighth inning due to mid-back stiffness.
Tomas went 1-for-3 with a two-run single before being replaced by Brandon Drury in left field to open the eighth. He appeared to be in pain after getting jammed by a pitch and grounding out in the fifth.
D-backs manager Chip Hale said the team doesn't see it being an issue moving forward. Tomas may be given a day off Wednesday, but Hale said the trainers don't view it as a long-term concern.

"He said it was bothering him hitting and running and throwing, so we got him out of the game," Hale said. "The trainers aren't concerned, the doctors aren't. Hopefully he'll feel better [Wednesday]. If not, we'll give him a day [Wednesday] and he should be ready Thursday."
Tomas has been on a tear this month, hitting nine homers in his past 16 games. He leads the D-backs with 26 home runs.
