Joey Votto: The first baseman has used a patient, powerful approach to post a lofty lifetime .313/.431/.543 slash line against right-handers. Votto will be in prime position to thrive when he bats at Colorado's offense-inducing venue against the right-handed Bettis (4.90 ERA in 2016) and a Rockies relief corps that ranks 22nd in baseball with a 4.31 ERA.
Andrew McCutchen: With a lifetime .324/.409/.561 slash line against left-handers, the outfielder has proven to be among the best in baseball during those matchups. McCutchen could have an outstanding game when he tangles with Marlins southpaw Justin Nicolino (4.37 ERA, 1.34 WHIP in 2016).
Starling Marte: Hitting .317 with 16 steals across 195 plate appearances, the outfielder has been a major factor in many 2016 DraftKings contests. Marte could contribute in multiple ways when he takes his lifetime .847 OPS against left-handers (.713 vs. righties) into a matchup with the left-handed Nicolino (career 35-to-32 strikeout-to-walk ratio).
Francisco Cervelli: The catcher has long fared best vs. left-handers, against whom he has produced a lifetime .801 OPS (.712 vs. righties). Cervelli could reach base often or drive in multiple runs when he faces the lefty Nicolino (career 4.13 ERA).
Jordy Mercer: As a big leaguer, Mercer has posted an .845 OPS against left-handers that exceeds his .643 mark vs. righties. The shortstop could provide cost-effective production at a premium position when he faces the left-handed Nicolino, who in his career has allowed right-handed batters such as Mercer to post a .765 OPS (.711 OPS allowed to lefty hitters).
Giancarlo Stanton: With a lifetime .290/.384/.614 slash line against left-handers, the outfielder has proven to wield a potent bat during those matchups. If he returns from a sore side that's kept him out the past five games, Stanton could put a ball into the outfield seats when he faces lefty Jeff Locke, who has posted a 5.08 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP this season.
J.T. Realmuto: With a lifetime .725 OPS against left-handers that exceeds his .688 mark vs. righties, the catcher has the plate skills to thrive in a matchup with the left-handed Locke (career 4.24 ERA, 1.40 WHIP). Realmuto could also swipe a base against Cervelli, who has allowed more steals than any other catcher since the outset of last season.
Martin Prado: In his career, the third baseman has produced an .826 OPS against left-handers that exceeds his .738 mark vs. righties. Prado -- who is hitting .328 this season -- could thrive in a matchup against the left-handed Locke and a Pirates bullpen that ranks 20th in the Majors with a 4.04 ERA.
Daniel Murphy: Hitting .390, the second baseman has been one of the most productive players at his premium position this season. Murphy could post an impactful total in DraftKings contests when he brings his lifetime .798 OPS against right-handers (.685 vs. lefties) into a matchup with Phillies righty Jeremy Hellickson (4.74 ERA, 1.34 WHIP since the outset of 2013) at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park.
Tanner Roark: The right-hander could be a solid second starter in DraftKings contests when he takes his solid lifetime 3.06 ERA and 1.14 WHIP into a matchup with a Phillies lineup that ranks 27th in the Majors with a .660 OPS against righties.
Jason Hammel: Having posted a 3.24 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP as a member of the Cubs, the right-hander has the skills to spin a gem when he works at home against a Dodgers lineup that ranks 24th in the Majors with a .700 OPS against righties. Also working in Hammel's favor: The Cubs lead the Majors with a .747 defensive efficiency ratio.
Nathan Karns: With a 3.53 ERA this season, the right-hander could have a stellar start when he works at his offense-suppressing home park against a Padres lineup that ranks last in the Majors with a .627 OPS against righties. Karns could come away with a win if the Mariners' lineup -- which ranks seventh in the Majors with a .775 OPS against righties -- can have success against right-hander Andrew Cashner (4.87 ERA, 1.45 WHIP in 2016).
Jeff Samardzija: With a 2.54 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP this season, the right-hander has rebounded from an inconsistent 2015 campaign. Samardzija could post a game-changing total in DraftKings contests when he works at pitcher-friendly Turner Field against a Braves lineup that ranks 29th in the Majors in OPS vs. righties (.643) and last in baseball in total home runs (21).
