Salazar could return to rotation Wednesday

June 3rd, 2017

KANSAS CITY -- The Indians are still listing Wednesday's starter at Colorado as "to be determined," but manager Terry Francona said he is leaning toward going with right-hander .
"I think we are leaning toward that second game [against the Rockies]," Francona said. "And then, we give J.T. [Josh Tomlin] a couple extra days of rest."
Francona plans to meet with his coaching staff again before making the anticipated Salazar start official. Salazar made 10 starts to open the season, going 3-5 with a 5.50 ERA in those outings. He was then moved to the bullpen and worked a scoreless inning last Thursday against Oakland in his regular-season relief debut.
Salazar's last start came on May 27 against Kansas City, when he worked 5 1/3 innings and allowed four runs (three earned) with five walks and four strikeouts.
