Swanson day to day with sore left wrist

May 3rd, 2018

NEW YORK -- Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson left Wednesday's 7-0 victory over the Mets in the sixth inning with a sore left wrist. He is listed as day to day and will not play against New York in Thursday afternoon's series finale.
Manager Brian Snitker took Swanson out of the game after watching him strike out to start the top of the fifth inning.
Swanson has been dealing with wrist issues for a couple of weeks.
"It's a little extra sore. It's just precautionary stuff. I already talked to Snit. I felt it was best, with the season being so long, to be smart about things," Swanson said. "I've been playing a lot lately. I don't know if 'overuse' would be the right word. It's something we didn't want to push through."
