In October of 2015 the band took to the stage for their inaugural nationwide tour, opening with three soldout concerts at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden and ending the year with two sold-out performances at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California. The group continued their tour in 2016 with multiple night stands at some of the nation's largest venues, including six stadium dates. Fans and music critics alike hailed the tour:
"Dead & Company is the most important music story of 2016 and maybe beyond." - The Huffington Post
"… Dead & Company cast their rainbow across CU's sandstoned Folsom Field Sunday, capping a historic two-night stand with a near flawless display." - Denver Post
"… the concerts are magical." - Billboard
"With visibly and audibly fresh energy provided by newcomers John Mayer and Oteil Burbridge, the new model Dead held true to the highly improvised, thrill-ride style Deadheads hold so dear." - Oakland Press
"OK, I'll buy it: Dead & Company are for real." - JamBase
"The Grateful Dead's catalog is, to a large extent, rocket fuel for guitar pyrotechnics Mayer's virtuoso skills have re-ignited the flame and fans have seemingly welcomed him as one of their own." - Gothamist
