LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers held the annual Select-A-Seat event at Dodger Stadium on Thursday with visits from current stars and a legend from the past. The event continues on Friday.
All existing season-seat holders were invited to preview or upgrade their existing seats at Dodger Stadium. Thursday's event, which began at 9 a.m. PT and concluded at 4:30 p.m., played host to existing season-seat holders with the longest tenure and showcased the benefits of being a Dodgers season-seat holder.
At around 10 a.m., Dodgers legend and broadcaster Fernando Valenzuela joined Dodgers vice president of ticket sales David Siegel for a surprise visit to Select-A-Seat's checkout area.
Among those who were greeted by Valenzuela was Susan Spence Raisin, a season-seat holder since 1981, who said she and her husband became Dodgers' season-seat holders because of Valenzuela. Spence Raisin met Valenzuela for the first time.

"As soon as Valenzuela was called up to the Dodgers, my husband and I started to come to more and more games," Spence Raisin said. "In 1981, his first full season with the club, we purchased our season seats and have been here ever since. This is so great."
In the afternoon, Dodgers Kiké Hernandez, Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig visited with season-ticket holders, taking photos and signing autographs.
"The organization has always taken pride in the value we offer season-seat holders. This commitment goes beyond the great play on the field and the exceptional fan experience offered at Dodger Stadium each season," said Siegel. "It's great when we can do extra special things, such as introduce them to their favorite players as we did today."
Select-A-Seat is exclusive to Dodgers season-seat holders and continues Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. PT. While season seats are currently sold out, fans can join a wait list by visiting Dodgers.com/seasontickets. From 4:30-6 p.m. PT on Friday, those already on the wait list will be able to attend Select-A-Seat and pick out their season seats for 2016 from select areas, while supplies last.
