Dodgers & White Sox Team Up to Stage Fantasy Baseball Camp at Spring Training Home at Camelback Ranch, Jan. 18-24

CHICAGO - The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox have teamed up to conduct the first-ever Dodgers-White Sox Baseball Fantasy Camp at Camelback Ranch, the teams' spring training facility in Glendale, Arizona. This authentic baseball experience for adults ages 21 years and older will be held January 18-24, 2016.

"This is the first time that we are staging a Dodgers' baseball camp at our Arizona spring training home," said Dodgers Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer Lon Rosen, "and partnering with our neighbors, the White Sox, should make this a memorable experience for our campers."

"We are excited to continue and expand our Fantasy Camp to our veteran campers and any new rookies. It's an opportunity for adults to be kids again as well as create life-long memories by taking the field and working with former White Sox greats who serve as coaches during the camp," said Brooks Boyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the White Sox. "With the addition of the Dodgers, their lineup of former players who will also serve as coaches, and all the amenities of Camelback Ranch, this is a 'can't-miss' experience for fans of the team and those who love baseball and want to put on a uniform."

Co-commissioners for the camp will be a pair of great third basemen: Ron Cey for the Dodgers and Bill Melton for the White Sox. They will be joined by Dodger legends Rick Monday, Eric Karros, Steve Yeager, Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda and others. Former White Sox stars who are scheduled to appear are Harold Baines, Bobby Thigpen, Rich Dotson, Tom Paciorek, Carlos May, Ron Kittle, Aaron Rowand and others.

For more information or to reserve your roster spot, please call (623) 302-5078, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.dodgers.com/fantasycamp or www.whitesox.com/fantasycamp.

Throughout the six nights and seven days of the camp, participants will be able to interact with and receive instruction from Dodger and White Sox greats on the field and to enjoy hours of baseball stories from the stars of the past off the field. It is 24/7 first-class baseball experience, during which campers will be treated just like the Dodgers and White Sox players when they train in Glendale in preparation for a Major League season.

The camp price includes two meals a day; single occupancy lodging at nearby hotels used by the two organizations; an authentic personalized Dodgers or White Sox uniform including jersey, pants and cap, personalized baseball cards with the camper's photo and camp participation, in addition to so much more. Campers will play games every day, including doubleheaders on most days, at the premier facilities and fields at Camelback Ranch.

Camelback Ranch - Glendale is the 141-acre Spring Training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. The Sonoran Desert-inspired facility offers baseball fans more than top-quality playing fields and facilities; the site also features picturesque walking trails, landscaped grounds and citrus groves. With over 118,000 square feet of Major and Minor League clubhouse space, 13 full baseball fields, three half-fields and a main stadium with 13,000 seats, the facility is one of the largest in the Cactus League.

Camelback Ranch is also the home of minor league operations for both the Dodgers and White Sox throughout the year, including the teams' entries in the Rookie-level Arizona League Summer League and Fall Instructional League. The Arizona Fall League's Glendale Desert Dogs also call Camelback Ranch home during their six-week season in October and November.
