LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers dealt infielder Ronald Torreyes and pitcher Tyler Olson to the Yankees on Tuesday for Minor League infielder Rob Segedin and a player to be named or cash.
Segedin, 27, hit .287 with seven homers and 34 RBIs in 71 games split between Triple-A and Double-A last year.

A third-round Draft pick out of Tulane in 2010, Segedin is primarily a right-handed-hitting corner infielder who also has played the outfield.
Torreyes and Olson had been designated for assignment last week by the Dodgers to make room on the roster for the signings of free-agent pitchers Scott Kazmir and Kenta Maeda.
