Dodgers announce 2016 promo schedule

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers will feature a promotion or giveaway item at 64 of their home games in 2016, the club announced on Wednesday.

The Dodgers' full promotional calendar can be viewed by visiting dodgers.com/promotions. There will be 10 bobblehead giveaways, including those for ace Clayton Kershaw (April 25) and new manager Dave Roberts (May 11). Friday Night Fireworks returns, as does Viva Los Dodgers, and there will be 10 collectible pin giveaways commemorating the club's retired numbers.

New promotions on the schedule include a Justin Turner Chia Pet on April 30, a Vin Scully T-shirt on May 10, kids batting gloves on May 15, a neck pillow on May 23, a license plate frame on June 6, Father's Day Dodgers boxers on June 19, kids locker nameplates on July 6, socks on Aug. 7 and a Magic Johnson gnome on Aug. 14.

The Dodgers will host Jackie Robinson Day on April 15, when fans will receive an adult Jackie Robinson replica jersey. The Old-Timers Game is back on the promotional calendar next season on July 2, and the Hollywood Stars game will make a comeback on Aug. 27.

The Dodgers also announced two new mini-plan options for 2016 with tickets starting at $19 per game. A preset 21-game Collectors Plan offers Opening Day, all 10 bobblehead giveaways, all 10 retired number collectible pins and Jackie Robinson Day. A 30-game Flex Plan allows for any 2016 home game, including Opening Day. All mini plans are on sale now at dodgers.com/miniplans.

Fans are invited to purchase mini plans and shop for the Dodgers fan on their holiday list starting this Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, at the Top of the Park store at Dodger Stadium. This Blue Friday event will include player appearances: 10 a.m. to noon Al Ferrara, noon to 2 p.m. Turner and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tommy Davis. For complete details, visit dodgers.com/BlueFriday.
