LOS ANGELES -- Dodger Stadium literally rocked Saturday night.
Yasiel Puig, Cody Bellinger and Justin Turner hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning against Hector Neris to spark an incredible 6-5 comeback victory over the Phillies. Puig got things going, crushing a 3-2 fastball to left field to cut the lead to two. Bellinger hit a first-pitch splitter off the right-field foul pole to make it a one-run game. Turner then smoked a 0-1 fastball to left field to tie the game.
But the Dodgers kept thing rolling. Neris allowed a one-out single to Austin Barnes, when he finally got the hook.
Corey Seager then hit a two-out single to left field against Phillies left-hander Joely Rodriguez to put runners on first and second. Adrian Gonzalez then hit a ground ball to the left of Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco. It deflected off his glove, past Freddy Galvis and into left field to score the winning run.

"It took that really tough hop," Gonzalez said. "It was really tough to put a glove on and luckily for us it hit his glove and trickled away from the shortstop."
It was at least the fifth time since 1956 that a team hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie or win a game. It is the third time the Dodgers have accomplished the feat. It previously happened on Sept. 18, 2006, when they hit four consecutive homers (Jeff Kent, J.D. Drew, Russell Martin and Marlon Anderson) against the Padres; and June 29, 1956, when they hit three (Duke Snider, Randy Jackson and Gil Hodges) against the Phillies.

It also happened against the Phillies on July 16, 1974, when the Padres (Nate Colbert, Willie McCovey and Dave Winfield) did it.
"It's one of the worst losses I've ever been associated with, the way we lost," Phillies manager Pete Mackanin said. "Those weren't wind-blown home runs. They were bombs. It's tough to take. I'm not real happy with the outcome."
The Dodgers, naturally, had a very different reaction.
"I don't know where this is going to take us, but sometimes in a season you look back at certain nights, at certain games that you can point to that the team gained some traction and turn things around," said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. "This might be that day."

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Eflin recovers after Toles homer: Dodgers center fielder Alvin Toles ripped a leadoff home run to center field in the first inning to hand the Dodgers a 1-0 lead. Eflin's second pitch of the night left Toles' bat at 106 mph and traveled a projected 421 feet, according to Statcast™. But Eflin retired 21 of the final 25 batters he faced, getting 12 ground-ball outs in seven innings. He is 0-0 with a 1.86 ERA after three starts.
"At the end of the day I felt well, I threw well," Eflin said. "It's just one of those crazy games."

Bellinger's bombs: Bellinger hit a solo shot to right field in the seventh inning to cut the Phillies' lead to two. It was the first homer of Bellinger's career. His second homer hit the right-field foul pole in the ninth to cut the lead to one. More >

Hunch almost pays off: Mackanin said before the game that he started the left-handed-hitting Brock Stassi and switch-hitters Daniel Nava and Andrew Knapp because he wanted them to play against Dodgers right-hander Brandon McCarthy with the Phillies facing three consecutive lefties beginning Sunday. Stassi hit a three-run homer in the fourth, Nava singled to score a run in the fifth and Knapp hit his first career homer in the eighth.
"We need offense," Mackanin said. "Those guys provided it."

A FIVE-STAR CATCH
Phillies center fielder Odubel Herrera made a terrific running catch with one out in the fourth inning. Puig hit a line drive to right-center field, but Herrera covered 73 feet in 4.1 seconds to make the catch in stride before falling face first to the turf. Statcast™ rated the catch probability at just 12 percent, making it a five-star catch (balls caught 25 percent of the time or less). It is Herrera's second five-star catch this season and is second in eight days.

Phillies: Rookie right-hander Nick Pivetta is set to make his Major League debut in Sunday afternoon's series finale against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Pivetta will be added to the 25-man roster before Sunday's game. The Phillies acquired him in July 2015 in the Jonathan Papelbon trade with the Nationals. First pitch is at 4:10 p.m. ET.
Dodgers:Hyun-Jin Ryu (0-4) will try to build on his best start of the season (one runs in six innings) Sunday at 1:10 p.m. against the Phillies. He had a 5.87 ERA after his first three starts.
