NEW YORK -- Kenta Maeda, who pitched four hitless innings after a line drive smoked his pitching hand Saturday night, continued to amaze the Dodgers with his healing powers on Sunday.
Maeda said the swelling had subsided, the pain was virtually gone and he expects to make his next scheduled start on Thursday in Chicago.
"Feels fine," said Maeda. "Just a little bit of swelling. Yes, definitely [will make next start]. The pain went away more than I thought. I'm definitely relieved."

Maeda, hit by Michael Conforto's liner, played catch before Sunday's game.
"I expected it to be a lot worse," said manager Dave Roberts.
Trayce Thompson, removed from Saturday night's game with lower back pain, did not start Sunday, but he participated in pregame workouts and said he was available for all aspects of the game off the bench.
Carl Crawford, nursing a tight right hamstring, was available for hitting and defense, and Roberts said he would start a game in Chicago.
