LOS ANGELES -- For the second time in six days, the Dodgers will turn to ace Clayton Kershaw to end a losing streak.
The Dodgers have hit a low point in their season. After going more than two months without losing a series, they've lost four straight, and have also dropped a season-high six games in a row after Wednesday night's 3-1 loss to the D-backs. Not to mention, they've also lost 11 of their last 12 games.
Outside of Monday's 13-0 loss to Arizona, the production from the Dodgers' starters, Rich Hill, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Kenta Maeda, was better. The trio allowed only three runs in 17 innings, compared to the 19 runs those same three gave up in 10 2/3 innings in last week's road series against the D-backs.
However, the Dodgers' offense disappeared this series, posting two runs and striking out 30 times.
"We've had our fair share of adversity," manager Dave Roberts said. "But we're going to be professional and show up tomorrow to win a baseball game. That's been kind of what we're trying to do all year long, going good, going bad. That's the formula I believe in."
Frustration is starting to show, which was evident by Justin Turner's ejection at the end of the sixth inning. Turner disagreed with home-plate umpire Chad Fairchild over a pitch that was a called third strike for the first out of the inning. Turner was tossed after voicing his displeasure when the frame was over.

"If I had to do it all over again, I probably wouldn't have even given him the time of day," Turner said. "I can't get thrown out in a 1-1 game there. At the same time, I didn't think I did a whole lot to warrant an ejection."
Kershaw halted a five-game losing streak in his first start back from the disabled list, throwing six scoreless innings and striking out seven on 70 pitches in a win in San Diego last Friday. Even better for the Dodgers, they haven't lost in any of the three-time National League Cy Young Award winner's last 16 starts.
"There's really nothing to say," manager Dave Roberts said. "We've got to find a way to win a game. The last game we won was when Clayton took the mound. I know our only focus now is to turn the page on this series, and figure out how to win a game tomorrow."
